A clear operating brief helps a business and delivery partner agree on practical responsibilities before the first pickup. Use these points when preparing your enquiry.
Define your delivery area
List the neighbourhoods and pickup points you want to include. A city name alone does not tell a delivery partner how far individual orders need to travel. Share busy periods and the hours in which your kitchen can prepare orders.
Make pickup readiness clear
Agree which order reference identifies a bag, who confirms readiness and where the courier should collect it. A simple exception process helps when an item is missing or preparation is delayed.
Plan packaging and handling
Tell the delivery partner about liquids, fragile containers, multiple bags or any required transport conditions. Decide who supplies packaging and seals. Specialist temperature requirements must be reviewed rather than assumed.
Agree customer handover and exceptions
Provide a usable customer address and contact number. Agree what happens if the recipient cannot be reached, an address changes or delivery is refused. Record redelivery and waiting arrangements in the service scope.
